Micro pleats are the finest pleats we produce at Slim Plissage — under 3 mm — creating a subtle, shimmering texture that transforms fabric into a living surface. Related to but even finer than crystal pleats, micro-pleating requires precision molds and careful handling.

How we make it
Precision mold
An ultra-fine mold is prepared — these molds are delicate and used only for micro-pleating.
Careful tension
Fabric tension must be perfectly uniform.
Setting
Low-heat steam setting preserves fabric integrity while fixing the pleats.
Frequently asked questions about micro pleats
They overlap significantly. Crystal pleats are typically 2–4 mm; true micro pleats can go below 2 mm.
